Historic Georgetown Tour

Historic Georgetown Tour

Georgetown existed before Washington DC as a colonial town in Maryland; we talk about the political elite of the capital, Georgetown University, and we see the most beautiful neighborhood in the capital.

Georgetown predates the federal capital by nearly 50 years, but today it's one of the most beautiful neighborhoods you can see during your visit to the capital, where many politicians call home. This tour discusses the architectural evolution of urban areas on the east coast of the country, the economy of the district linked to the sale of slaves and tobacco, development of the famous canal, the imposing Georgetown University, and some of the famous residents who lived in the neighborhood. These historical figures have left so many stories that a tour of Georgetown is a must to do in your visit to Washington DC.

The tour lasts 2 hours. You should bring comfortable shoes as we go up and down small hills.

Tours cost $55 USD per adult. Teenagers aged 10-16 pay $30 USD. Children under 9 are free. We offer special rates for groups of 5 or more.

We're outside the Baked and Wired store at 1052 Thomas Jefferson St NW, Washington, DC 20007. Georgetown doesn't have a metro stop, so I recommend taking a taxi or Uber. It's not too expensive since Washington, DC is a very small city; it's usually around $15 (USD). If you arrive a little early, I recommend trying their cupcakes. They're the best in the city, better than the Georgetown cupcakes that many people go to try because they were featured on a TV show.
